Second Wednesday
Venue: Private Address

We read and discuss the works of Irish writers, concentrating on the more recent but also picking from further back. This is an area with rich pickings. Recent years have seen the emergence of a new style of Irish author, writing for a wider audience, tackling a variety of subjects but also writing with imagination. Many of the books in our programme have won awards or been nominated for them and many have been turned into films.

We read one book a month. Members volunteer to introduce the author and give an introductory review of the book to get the discussion started. Our meetings are on the second Wednesday of the month at 2:30, at a private address in Leckhampton, near to the Bath Road and convenient for bus routes.
