I have booked a day trip in June to visit St Fanagans and Penarth. 

If I get enough U3A members to join me on the 53 seater coach, and the day has been successful I will proposed more trips as follows:

During 2025. June/August/October.  None during the winter month.  

During 2026 April/June/August/October.  None during the winter month.

Exact dates and places to visit will be in the forthcoming Cheltenham U3A magazines and on the website.

I am looking into 2 events per trip ie:- visit a Museum, a National Trust property, Local Guide Tours around whichever town we happen to be, any outside places worthwhile visiting.   I will mention about payments needing to be paid as an extra to payments for the coach. Payments for the coach are cheques made out to the U3A.  Any other payments are made by each individual where necessary on the day when we arrive.  I will mention the amount required for entry fees whenever necessary.   I will be looking at not having to spend more than £30 for 2 combined entry fees per day, hopefully nowhere near as much, I will try my best when searching the internet to make the day economical as much as I can.

Lunch can be a restaurant of their choice or a picnic.

On my first trip I will hand round a questionnaire for people to tick the boxes shown if they wish to agree to any or all of my suggestions.  If anybody prefers to have their own time to go around wherever we are, I will have no objection as long as they let me know, and make sure to be back on time for the coach departure time.
