We meet on the second Tuesday of the month, from 10:30 am to 12 noon, at members’ houses. We have a membership of 12 maximum, which allows each of us to choose a book and present it once a year. In August we have a planning meeting over a simple ‘pot luck’ buffet lunch, when we each suggest a book of our choice and choose a month to present it, so we know the books to be read a year ahead. We try to choose books that can be obtained second-hand or from the library. The choices are always interesting and varied, including fiction, biographies and poetry. The presentations always lead to lively discussions.
