More than 50 new members signed up at our Open Day on 19 June and 20 more in the days following.

We had representatives from 40 groups ranging from Art to Yoga. Visitors were able to discuss opportunities to play sport, perform on stage, listen to music, create model railways and to join a specially organised holiday.  Plans to launch a new group, “Modern Stoicism”, attracted great interest.

Drama and Old Time Music Hall staged full-house shows; the Choir members sang and the Recorder Consort sent us home skipping to memories of their merry tunes.

Our Open Days are our opportunity to publicise u3a Cheltenham and to demonstrate how our members are making the most of life by continuing their creative, educational and social interests in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere.
