All members of the group actively participate in researching and discussing all aspects of the 19th century that interest us. We cover not only Britain, but Europe and the wider world. The century saw profound changes in people’s lives and attitudes, with Napoleon, revolutions, railways, Darwin and the first motor car. We set no limits on what we discuss and hope to range from art and agriculture to zoos and Zola!
